Frequently Asked Questions

When should I arrive?

Life is crazy. Arrive 10 minutes early and take a few minutes to wind down in the pause lounge before your session begins. You can read, do some deep breathing, recite a mantra or simply close your eyes. Entering the hot/cold room in a relaxed state will maximize your infrared sauna, cold plunge or contrast therapy experience.

What do I wear?

We ask that all guests wear their own swimwear while in the sauna and cold plunge tub. We also recommend waterproof sandals to wear when moving between the sauna and tub as the floor can get slippery. We also recommend bringing clothing that are loose fitting and comfortable to put back on after your session.

Do you have showers?

We have 2 showers.. Keep in mind that they are open to all REBOOT and enduraLAB members so we ask that you plan accordingly.

Do you have towels?

We ask that you bring at least 2 towels if you are using the hot/cold room. One to sit on and one to wrap around yourself or wipe off with. We do require that you always lay one towel on the bench in the infrared sauna.

Do I have to use both the sauna and cold plunge during each hot/cold session?

We can make some recommendations for some protocol options, but you can use the sauna and cold tub space how you prefer. Some guest only want to use the cold tub, while others may want to cycle between the sauna and tub multiple times.

How do you clean the saunas?

We take cleanliness very seriously and ask that you wipe your space down after each session with a damp cloth. We also clean the sauna after every use with a non-toxic cleaning solution. Additionally, infrared heat kills 99% of bacteria, creating an inherently sterile environment.

How will I feel during and after my infrared sauna session?

Infrared saunas heat you very gently and slowly, making it a very peaceful experience for most people. You may find that you do not sweat for the first 10-15 minutes, or not very much at all your first time. With increased usage you will likely notice an increased ability to sweat more productively. After sweating you will feel great. You may notice glowing skin, diminished wrinkles, muscle and injury relief as well as a sense of relaxation.

What is the temperature of the cold plunge tub?

The water will be kept at 45 degrees.

How long to you stay in the cold plunge tank?

There is no set time limit per se, but it's best to limit your sessions to ten minutes or less. It’s better to do more sessions of 1-3 minutes than longer sessions. Be sure to consult your doctor first about the safest amount of time for you personally. With more practice, it's possible to increase your endurance, but this requires a strict routine and close self-monitoring.

How will I feel during and after my cold plunge session?

The cold plunge is definitely a physical challenge and a mental challenge. The first minute is generally the hardest as your body’s fight or flight instincts kick in. Once past that initial minute, most people find that they can get to a sense of calm and control to get through the remainder of the time. The benefits are definitely worth it! Read below for some breathing techniques for during your session.
